Trailblazing nurse – and soon to be future rural doctor – named RDAA Medical Student of the Year


A final year medical student – who has spent the past two years undertaking her training in the rural Queensland town of Kingaroy, while also working as a nurse at the local hospital and co-founding a community run club with her fiancee – has received the RDAA Medical Student of the Year Award in recognition of her exceptional commitment to rural health and the Kingaroy community.

Eiryn Twidale was announced as the Award recipient at the Rural Medicine Australia (RMA25) Conference Dinner in Perth on Friday night.
